  1. She's saying that year round school could be a good thing for the children just because her kids had fun. Personally I don't think it's a good idea. A lot more kids will drop out because a lot of kids already don't like the education system. I like school but to only get 5 to 6 weeks of vacation and have to go to school all the time. I it would be a bad idea and basically its only really an advantige to the parents because they wouldn't have to get child care and could do whatever they wanted during the day...

  4. The thesis of this argument is that there should be school year round because over the long summer most kids, especially kids who don't speak the English language, forget what they learned last year because of the "non-learning" in summer.

  7. The authors thesis or main statement is that if a child goes to school year-round, the child will receive more education. There is another statement made in this article and that is that it's not so bad to not have the full 10 week summer. :(

  16. The authors thesis is that she feels that if we had year round school that there would be more opportunities for kids for instance some of her examples were that her daughter had a harry potter class and they made potions and harry potter sweets and her son wrote movie scripts and then they edited them on the computer. She was also saying how she feels that it is better on parents so they don't have to change there work schedule's and It is better to have more breaks in the year so kids don't forget things after a long summer, and that more school would help kids that have special needs or that are having trouble in school.
