  1. The book is definitely interesting but VERY hard to understand. Even my dad had trouble reading it. All the while, it's still a good book. I like the images it makes you think of.

  2. i think that the alchemist is a really confusing but good book. i like the message it sends. from what i understand it is trying to inspire people to follow their personal legends or dreams. if everyone did that then we would all be happy.

  3. i think that it is a interesting book. sometimes it is confusing. I don't know if i would read it on my own because it doesn't make much sense. Maybe it means to follow your dreams.

  6. I think that the alchemist has some really good messages but sometimes it seems to repeat itself. there are always some parts when you read something and have to re read it to fully understand them. but over all the book is very good because it seems to suck you in

  8. I think that the Alchemist is a great book for school and the mind. Its made everyone in our class think very deeply about if there actually is a language of the world, or if you actually can talk to the earth. But some parts in the book dont make sence to me like how the boy was like really freaking out at that one arab camp because he was scared. But then before that he was not scared at all when he was about to die. But anyways it's a pretty good book for school

  9. I think the Alchemist is a good book, but a thing I don't like about it is how it will go on forever describing something. I find the book interesting because of the things he does, like working at the crystal shop. I don't think the book should be called the alchemist. He spends half the book not even knowing what the alchemist is.

  10. I think The Alchemist so far is an interesting book, because when the author stats something you almost never know if he is being litteral or trying to say sumething deeper. I think that The Alchemist is a very confusing book the underastand. I don't really get why Sonteago keeps going back and forth with what he wants to do. I think the author might make him do that so much becuase us in our own lifes tend to do that alot. Overall I think think the alchemist is a fun book to read as a class,

  11. I think the Alchemist is a pretty good book, but it is a little bit confusing because once I finally start to understand what has happened it goes on about something else. Also that it was very weird how the boy sort of "left" the merchants daughter that he loved in exchange for Fatima, it was like he fell in love with every girl he sees. I thought it was weird why he is going to Egypt to find gold he is probably just going to fall in love with FAtima

  13. The Alchemist is a very fun book to read because it really makes you think about your goals in life. I think it's weird how the author talked about the boy entering the tent for like two pages and the fight for not even half a page.

  14. I think a very interesting event that happened is when the Alchemist appeared from a blinding dust swirl of dust. It was very interesting that the Alchemist knew that the boy was reading the meaning of the flight of the hawks. In addition to these points, I think that the falcon on his shoulder symbolized mystery and intimidation.
Another interesting event is when the tribal cheiftain gave him fifty gold coins and appointed him to be the counselor of the oasis. It shows great honor, but it wise to be hesitant because of the fact that he was given the job so easily.
I also think it was very interesting that you can show the power of your soul by looking into people's eyes. You can greatly intimidate someone with the look in your eyes.

  15. The Alchemist is a great book with many lessons on wisdom. I was confused about how Santiago talked with the desert. I like how the story twisted and turned so that you never knew where it was going.
