  1. I thought that she made it sound like nothing got done at the yearound schools. For example Harry Potter classes? Waste of moneyI would say. I also like to be able to relax over long summers. Travel and lay around in the sun. Some parents work all summer and some dont but I really want to keep it that way.

  2. I really disagree with the idea of year round school because if some people are falling behind like the lower income people(which I feel bad for) should just go to summer school or homework club or something close to that. I think it is important for us to have a long break to not feel stressed about a lot of homework or work in general.

  3. I think that most or a lot of the kids in America would hate to got to school everyday I know I would. I was really surprised when Obama passed a 100 billion dollar stimulus plan I thought he would have done something else like help haiti or something.

  4. I think it would be ok, if we had like 1 month off eveery 3 months for the whole year. if thats what she means then that would me good. I just dont think having school everyday for 12 months. I know that not what she meant (not having at least christmas break off)but...yup thats what i think about it. Im not really in favor of it.

  5. I think kids will do worse in school without a big break because they will be less motivated to do work and less happy. I also think teachers in general will be happier with a 2 month break. For this i disagree with how the author says that kids do better in school and enjoy it more. I believe year round school is a bad idea.

  6. I disagree with her argument because I would hate to have a summer for 6 weeks and then more school. For example "And they needed more exposure to the world beyond their apartment walls, the TV and the 24-Hour Express Minimart" I think Ms Schulets thinks most of the kids are stupid and just spend our whole lives watching T.V, but most kids I know hang out side most of the day when they are not in school.

  7. To me i dont really care if we have the summer off.. but if i had to make a decision i would say that we have summer. i say this because summer makes the world go round. and it just makes people happy that we get to have a huge amount of time off from the school year. And anyways ive never met a single kid besides my sister that wants to go to school.

  8. I don't think that is a good idea because I like to have my brakes and she probably doesn't remember that well when she went to school. And i don't like how she makes it sound all cool when a lot of people would never wont to go to a year round school.

  9. I think that going to a year round school would not be very fun. I know that you get a lot of breaks and every thing. You also have fun classes. Going to this specific school would not be very educational. They have things like Harry Potter Classes and rollerblading. Things just don't sound so serious. To me it sounds like this school wouldn't get you prepared for high school. But maybe i am wrong i don't actually go to that school so i can't be positive, but i do stand with what i say
